Is 33 Down Debile or Senile??

I'd say 'Senile' in this case.

I agree and have never heard of debile but used the Quick Search and it came up with

Debile: lacking bodily or muscular strength or vitality; "a feeble old woman"; "her body looked sapless"

So I'm now wondering....

Oh I agree that in reality they both fit the clue - my choice given this crossword would be the simpler and more well known of the two.

Solvers choice I guess, maybe someone else will have a different angle.

The definitions of 'debile' that I have come up with do not generally refer to 'old age' - whereas the def. of 'senile' does - I've gone with 'senile' as my answer.
