OK. I know this is rather late and I know it is starting a new thread for an old(ish) crossword, but I haven't looked at the crossword since Sunday afternoon and I thought that I had better finish it before buying tomorrow's paper.

I have completed the crossword but remain a little confused by the answer (or maybe the question) to 43 across - "Hot off the stove top, temperature value is over 180 degrees".

So, the answer is OBTUSE - (h)OB + T(emperature) + USE(value). Now that is fine, but obtuse describes an angle greater than ninety degrees but less than 180 degrees. An angle greater than 180 degrees as a reflex angle.

So is the question wrong or am I looking at it from completely the wrong angle (unintentional pun)?

Looks like compiler error to me!

Glad you agree.

I was beginning to doubt myself.
