I found today's Times Cryptic by Orpheus very satisfying! I find they differ greatly due to the different daily setters, but some please me better than others - and I don't mean how easily I can do them! Any views on different setters?

I like The Times Crossword setters.
The Times wont identify their setters, though!
I also like Arachne (a lady setter), and Puck, in The Guardian.

Hi, rusty! The Times daily quick cryptic crosswords ARE identified by names but there are quite a lot of these setters and they occur apparently in rotation.
I haven't had a go at the Guardian Cryptics - I presume you mean the free online daily ones? - I'll have a stab and see how I get on. I'm improving........ but slowly!

Hello, Elle!
No, I mean the crossword in the main Times paper, not the quick cryptic one.
The Guardian have all their past crosswords archived on line. You can access them free. I usually print some off now and again. If you are improving, Elle, I would suggest you start off with Rufus. He is normally in on a Monday. I think he is the easiest setter. They also archive their crosswords by setter, too.
So, If you liked Brummie, say, click on Brummie, and all his crosswords come up back to 1997, or whenever he first started. I am currently doing Arachne's from 2003!

Thanks for the advice, Rusty.
Sorry to be late in replying - we have been out with the dog - it's such a beautiful day here ! (makes a change from rain and mud!)
I'll give Rufus a try as you suggest. I think it helps a lot when you can use the same setter as then you get used to how his/ her mind works!
