As no one has replied to you rambler, am I allowed (as a non-participant) to show my parsing ?

hi busby
it was a bit cheeky of me to ask, and the parsing that Ginge used may be may be more obscure than I think. So will await reply from rambler. I won't be offended if he says no

Cheers fiery and jazzy spot-on. I didn't parse it as I didn't consider it complicated (I do appreciate it's just as difficult to provide a definition of complicated wordplay as it is for each setter to decide the same and I hope you're not offended as such rambler)

PS for what it's worth I come into the category of those preferring not to see parsing with each clue as I get as much, if not more, enjoyment "solving" other peoples offerings as composing my own. As aristo mentioned the answer is there (barring errors) and I don't think there is any shame in asking a setter to parse if the wordplay eludes one. I have indeed asked Les on one occasion as it "beat" me and was perfectly valid.

I'm not at all offended, ginge, I'm just not as good at solving as others - I can understand your wanting to parse the clues unaided and the preamble is often changed to suit the setter.
