Help appreciated parsing these.....

9a. Unsuccessfully leading army maybe around island (2,4) - IN VAIN

10a. Dog in cargo vessel that's docked (6) - COLLIE (I think)

22d. In audience for Shakespeare, namely As You Like It? (2,4) - AS WELL (I think) I can't even see the definition in this one.

Thanks Ab, thanks Mamya. Re: IN VAIN, I know VAN is the abbreviation of Vanguard (leading) but it's the reference to 'Army' I don't get, also, wouldn't you say 'In the van(guard)' rather than 'in van'?
