Good choice of word, Les and great winning clue, Rambler. I was so pleased to read your post about intricacies of some clues - I love a simple (but not necessarily easy) clue. So if I ever win, bear that in mind the following week, friends!

Belated congrats rambler, lovely clue!
I did use "line" to indicate a capital "i" (thanks ginge for your parsing) as you had used a capital i in the spelling of Iracund in the pre-amble. Naughty of me, i know, but couldn't resist it!
I respect your decision though, Les. Think you picked the right winner too.
