Jazzgirl - I can see that upsides fits the letters but I can't understand why it fits the clue "on a par (with)". Can you explain for us slower thinkers?

Thank you both for that kind assistance. I have humbly learnt something new today! My compact OED doesn't give that possible meaning for "upsides", but I have just blown the dust off the full OED, and I did indeed find that meaning.....but it seems mainly used in horse racing......about which I know nothing!

...and I meant to say that neither the Crossword Dictionary or Quick Solve give that second meaning! I wasn't just being lazy...! I thought I had checked it out!
