I have struggled through to a completed grid but cannot even begin to home in on what needs to be highlighted. There is a word which goes across answers in the second row and likewise in the seventh row. Whether or not either or both form part of the original title is beyond me. Any pointers in the right direction would be more than welcome.

Silly man! In the rubric, 'original title' means 'unusual', 'surprising title', not 'previous title', and 'this puzzle being UNTITLED' means 'because titles have been removed from the across clues'; you need to identify the quotation, in which a silly young man upbraids an ex-monarch as a silly old man for squandering his titles.
