I have a full grid, having used the given unchecked letters to make 10 theme words which must be right, but I have no idea what the theme is - even though I have the phrase generated by the misprints. I have several of the answers that must be treated to become theme entries and see no connection.

Have you used the corrected letters instead of the incorrect ones like me?!

Sorry but that does not make sense. ANEMIA is a thing; it did not change. Why does PHOBIA change but not ANEMIA.

The things that change are the clues without definition:
1a, 5d, 14a,23a, 28d, 25d, 19d (don't get that one but nothing else fits), 13d, 32a, 20a

The problem I had with this one was one of the men was a woman !
