Clue is :-Ardour unknown by a woman like Erica. -E---E-Y
Have looked up every Erica available but nothing fits.
(My first post - hope this is how it's done)

Erica/ling/heather are frequently used in crosswords.

Your post was fine, but ? is better than - for missing letters. Also it's easier to work out if you actually give the letter count - e.g. (8) in this case.

Sorry I think I might have counted the letters incorrectly. It helps most users if you put the letter count in brackets (8) and the missing letters as ?????. I went with Erica being a type of heather...ardour = heat + her for woman.
