Hi, Norm. I'm assuming you've put 'spliff' for 18ac. Afraid that's wrong, mate, tho I, ahem, see where you're coming from. Think of a red-headed member of a famous girlband, and throw an 'L' into the mix! That'll give u a different 2nd letter for 17dn. 13dn put paid to his misguided plan. Perhaps he over indulged in your original answer for 18ac! :)

I think john has hit it right on the nail Icarus. Was thinking around UFOs until the f was doubtful.

Maybe it's just me, but is it not better to give a little helping hand with answers, rather than just giving the straight answer? Any thoughts in this? Norm, Icarus was the guy who thought it would be a good idea to fly to the Sun, wearing wax wings. Personally, I would've waited 'til nightfall...
