I've never tried this crossword before as i thought it might be too tricky for me, but I am half way through and finding it enjoyable

It's not always as easy as this one, jazzy, but generally very enjoyable.
Btw (in case it causes you trouble) 8d is an American soft drink you probably won't know: it looks very odd but is googlable!
