just got out of hospital after having my broken wrist pinned and have three days of crosswords but cannot use use my hand, so I am slowly doing them on line with much cursing

The Guardian crosswords (and others, I expect) can be done online. It's easier to type than write with the wrong hand!

very embarrassing I fell up the pavement across from our house put my hands out and of course my wrist took the strain I have a metal fixator and a very heavy cast and the surgeon says 6 to 8 weeks before I will have full use of my hand!!!! but doing on line is proving very useful
