Help appreciated with the parsing/correcting for these......

35a. One little boy with paper cone (3,5) - ICE CREAM (Cone) I get as far as 'One' = I + 'Paper' = REAM which leaves me with CEC for 'Little boy', so I'm obviously way off.

37a. Take steps to follow - and affect - current fashion (3,2) - ACT ON (I think - 'Take steps to follow') but 'Current fashion' usually means 'IN', so again I'm not sure.

1d. Something to sell male, with girl turning up on the outside? (3,3) - LAD MAG? (Something to sell male) it's got GAL 'turning up on the outside', but that leaves DMA or ADM?

CEC short for CECIL

TON is "fashion"; AC is current

I think it's SYMBOL - "one clashing with partner" is CYMBAL; "in accounts" is "sounds like".

Hi there

For 37a, ACT ON is correct: AC stands for 'alternating current' and TON is French for style or fashion. Took me ages to figure out!
