Could you possibly include as 0 in posting tips "Please check if there have been other posts for the crossword you are asking about."?

Today the Times Jumbo easy is in to double figures for threads, and the Guardian has at least 3.

Although I haven't had a look at today's examples, one of the difficulties for the Forum is that what starts as a genuine and specific request for help or advice can get hijacked into becoming a virtual village shop where the main purpose is the exchange of personal news and information, such as health, flooding, holidays, exhibitions in Paris etcetera.
Personally I don't have a big problem with this social side of the Forum but it may be why people start new threads with the same topic.

That wasn't the point I was making, kenyatta. I don't think it is relevant to the 11 (last count) Times Jumbo easy threads on the site at the moment.

Totally agree with original post. About time this was addressed, although it would seem common sense to most people.

I didn't realise that you and Frazer were related, jazzy.

Oh yes indeed. I think this week's multiples were made worse by the fact that the Jumbo had two different numbers, thus those not using the online version did not know that 609 was in fact 1089.
