I did not post 6@6 At first read it looked like me but the replys and final execution (although using some of my words) Does not read like me at all.

I would like to congratulate whoever has successfully impersonated me. Nice try but three of those clues are loosely rewritten (I paper) clues from last week.

I said i was finished (not with the site, but with peer review where i still believe the winner can be manipulated by clever multiple posters) I have continued to answer posts and clueless is a different ballgame.

I am now however fully recovered (for those kind enough to ask)

Cheers!

I find it absolutely incredible that this can happen! How is one to know which is the genuine article? the first posting of the clues - which apparently fooled everyone who usually 'plays' - or the second posting, the seeming denial of placing this in the first place?
Apologies to the 'rea'l Imagcq here! and I hope that you really are feeling better now!

I find this impossible to believe. When the registration system was set up a couple of years back, (due to some members being able to impersonate others) the watertight system was supposed to block someone trying to register with exactly the same name.

by the way, the spelling of "replys" should be "replies" ?

extract from the forum rules:

We will not tolerate any user impersonating another user by deliberately registering with a name that is so similar that it could be mistaken for the original user name. Anyone caught doing this will have their computer barred so they will not be able to use the Forum in any name.

The last 6@6 that I have seen started on April 21st and had numerous replies.
Is this the one you say is a fraud?
I am puzzled!

Just to let everyone know that we take possible impersonation very seriously and with the systems in place it should be impossible to impersonate another user. We are investigating the matter and I will report back in due course.

As I said in my first response, Kenyatta, who is to say at this stage, which is the "fraud"? It could be either the original posting of clues or the subsequent denial. Let's trust that Norah is able to get to the bottom of it.

Ash has thoroughly investigated the possible impersonation of imagcq and he tells me that both threads were posted by imagcq's account. If he did not post the 6@6 thread, then someone logged into his account with his password.

In view of this, I have suggested to imagcq that he change his password. Perhaps other users of the Forum might like to follow this advice, we should change passwords for everything on a regular basis but we never do, I am as guilty as anyone on this!
