Last I heard from aristo, he was still having lots of gremlins trying to log on and use the site - I wonder why - do other US users experience the same problems?

Thanks for asking about me, ixion. I had stopped posting clues for a while because I hadn't gotten a vote in months and figured I must be oxidizing (getting rusty) and might need a breather. I was also swamped with rehearsals and performances and have just returned from a week at Acadia (soooo beautiful). I've only been home for a couple of hours but just checked the site to see what you guys have been up to. I hope to get back into the swing of things next week. See you around.

Looked at some pictures of Acadia - you're right, it looks beautiful.

Thanks, everyone.
chrise: I'm organist and music director at a Lutheran church, where services are often concert-like (where else can you have a regular audience for German Baroque music [over here at least]?). From Palm Sunday to Easter the chorus does ten anthems, and there are the instrumentalists to rehearse. I love choral music, and am always astonished by the quality of so many new pieces being written for American Lutheran publishers. Bucking the tide certainly, but with such beauty.

Sounds great. Have you come across Morten Lauridsen? One of my favourite living composers. I'm not sure how Lutheran he would be, though.
