Thanks Doglet.
Our Claret Ash trees are just starting to change colour, winter is on its way, a bit of a frost this morning, a sign of things to come, I will be putting the mower away soon and sharpening saws for firewood cutting.
How's the greedy crow?
All the best.

Same to you, doglet, wherever you are! If it's any comfort, the weather's no better here in the South of France at the moment: time to get dug into a difficult puzzle, I suppose, before visitors arrive.

the greedy crow has young at the moment and is voracious, he has worked out howmany cocktail sausages he can carry at one go then comes back for the scotcheggs, his favourites at the moment are pies and mealworms, the robins have young too so my bill for mealworms is quite large but worth it just to watch them everyday the cats are too well fed to bother catching anything and the dogs just try to catch the squirrels

Sounds like you have a very interesting garden Doglet.
We feed a variety of parrots, which are majestic to watch. Some finches, magpies and lots of blue tongue lizards along with green tree frogs.
Our dog is too lazy to bother any of them but I have to keep an eye on my neighbours cats.
