Can anyone help with the parsing for these....?

40d. Trouble returns when forum overseer intervenes (9) - INCOMMODE

43d. Uninspired setter to get angry (7) - STERILE (Uninspired) If 'To get Angry' = RILE then why is 'Setter' STE?

returns is income. forum overseer is mod (moderator).

Just bumping this back to the top in the hope fresh eyes will be able to work out the parsing.

I wonder if there is a word or words missing from the clue. If it read "uninspired and odd setter to get angry" then it would make sense....odd letters of "setter" = STE

I think you're Chris, if you remember last week there was the anagram that wasn't (55a) and so it is quite possible that it's an error. I really don't know what's happening at the Times - if you go on the 'Times for the Times' forum you'll see complaint after complaint from people who can't access their crosswords online. If you go to the forum for 12/4 you'll see an excellent post from 'Nick the Novice' entitled 'Global Brand or What' - it's really worth a read.
