12ac. 'Burning to attend opening of Cannes festival shortly? I might be.'(8).
- I - E - S - E leads me to 'CINEASTE', 'Opening of Cannes' gives me the 'C', but the rest of the parsing eludes me. Perhaps the result of a busy Mothering Sunday - daughter, son-in-law and grandson joined my wife and me for a jolly, but my octogenarian energy levels can't keep up!

C + in (burning) + easte(r)
