Thanks winnie...I too have a great grandchild and they do all wear me out but like you I'm sure, love having them. I do occasionally close my eyes for 20 minutes when I get the chance. I do love these quizzes, hearing from old friends again twice a year. Already looking forward to the next one. Thanks to ladybee as well for great clues. Oh yes, 28, first syllable spot or foot? I put spot, my friend put foot.

I agree with you. Footlights are just a row of lights. Spotlights shine a light on an actor.

Winnie, or anyone else, I can see how much you've helped several other folk so I'm hoping you will now help me a little bit please.

I'm stuck on
72. Musical call to arms.
Cambridge revue that went further than Hair?
99. Piece of furniture works backstage.
92. In a state a boater, for instance, relates to summer theatre.
I have seen some clues for the boater but still can't work it out. I'd be grateful for any more help, please

72. The arms refer to a weapon not part of the body. Musical from a while back.

92. Have you googled or looked in a dictionary to get a simple explanation of what a boater is. Then find out the other meaning of that.

99. Piece of furniture but in a theatre it's a person who works backstage helping with costumes

89. Satirical show, I think with Peter Cook and others,. probably from the sixties.

Thanks to you Lady Bee.
I've now solved 92 with an answer I've never heard of before. And I've also got the answer to 89.
Still working on the others. For 99 I had thought of "wardrobe" but it doesn't fit. And I'm still puzzling over 72, if you can give any more help.

lady bee,
I've just thought of the obvious answer to 99. Was almost there with wardrobe!

The weapon is a gun.

You're right with the county Somerset - now can't you think of a writer with that first name!!
