Am unsure of this last answer...
15 A. Old country, Caucasian country, mostly Catholic (7)

'Georgia' fits and is a country - but I don't see what the rest of the clue means. Thanks for any advice, insights.

Georgian is in Bradfords as a synonym for caucasian if that helps at all?

Than, both of you - I'm now leaning towards 'georgic' as that involves the 'Catholic' in the clue. So..,
Georgi is 'Caucasian country mostly' and then add the 'c' for 'Catholic '.

'Georgia' seems to leave the 'Catholic' out altogether

Sudokulover, I should have said 'thanks' for the Georgian/Caucasian info -that made sense of Caucasian being in the clue.

Didn't explain that very well...

Defn: old country, ie obsolete word for country/rustic
