Anyone doing this puzzle (out to-day) will find the preamble inaccurate. It says "In twenty-two clues, cryptic indications omit references to parts......". This should read eighteen clues.

I agree. But I' stuck on one last letter:
Mail stamp, not large (3) s?a
Can anyone help please.

If it is a clue with a 'misprint'

MAIN = SEA
Stamp = SEAL minus L
