Didn't enjoy the films at all. the things they missed out and the bits of story they warped. but that's the same with all films.

You couldn't be more correct !
Loved reading "Forest Gump" (read it numerous times),
But didn't enjoy the movie at all !
It's not "poetic license" It's "what makes money"
