Really struggling to work out the theme here.

I've solved all the clues, and got the base d letters, and the 4 hidden words, but after that I'm stuck.

Clue anyone?

The bottom line (P****T) is clear, but can someone confirm that the 6 at the top are GWAUMN ?

Billy - I have this as well but am struggling to find the date - it should be 1723 or 1725 but I'm not able to do the maths!

There are other relevant years to consider, if not quite as relevant as the ones you have mentioned!

in that case, I'm missing something. If the 6 letters along the top are in ascending numerical order, (and so M is greater than U), how can the circled letters (SUMI represent 1725 (or 1723)? That would make U 7 and M 2 ??
