Oscar may be wild. Did he not say "Work is the curse of the drinking classes?"

Hi ChrisE

Yup still busy as Administrator never expected to be sanding and painting after hours to get a job done - well needs must, team effort and all that.

Noticed you missed out the first few words of your quote if only I had time to drink, I suppose that was irony he intended as well as taking a pop at the aristocracy:)

Hope you and your family are well and life if good x

Hi Emrach
Yes, excellent. Our daughter Lizzie was laid off from her job in a solicitors' 3 or 4 years ago - last week they phoned to ask if she wanted her job back! (She said YES!!!)

Hi Emrach,

Nice to hear from you. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who hasn't finished JE. With some useful help from AB (see To all JE solvers thread) I'm very nearly there now. Understanding the theme has helped me with a couple of the main clues too.
Good luck. x

I'm surprised that you ladies don't mind being thus "objectified". I'm sure all the guys here dislike being called studs.

Brilliant news ChrisE
3/4years ago she obviously had left a good impression but well done her. I feel sorry for our sons/daughters these days they have such a hard getting jobs, mortgages etc. It wasn't a case of what job you could get it was more what job what I wanted so difficult nowadays.

Hiya Rossim

Yes it is always nice to know you are not the only one struggling - clever lot these clue setters - I will look up the thread I need the help! Hope you are well X

PS I gave last month's JE to someone who, to me anyway, is very good at solving and they really struggled but when given the parsing couldn't argue with the clues - hope springs... and all that :)

Oh dear - I hope I haven't upset the female contributors to the site by my use of the term 'girlie'. If I have, I do apologise :)

@emrach - nice to hear from you again, I hope things are well. I'm up in Edinburgh next weekend for the France match - wish me well :)
