My family think i am a bit of an old fuddy duddy because I refuse to put a solution into the grid until I can explain every last bit of the clue - even when I am 100% certain of the solution. This was a classic example of my philosophy - the solution is always there and easy once the penny drops.

So, thanks to tgipaul2, another crossword is complete.
