Sorry guys,
Couldn't get back in time to vote last night (1:30am) and then was too tired to set up the computer. I think Ginge's clue was a sure fire winner although there were plenty of great entries.
Ginge et al.
The parse for my clue is as follows:
Bloody silly mistake to wear suspender. "Now put a pound in the empty swearbox" (7)
Bloody silly mistake = Def
wear suspender (to be read as a noun) = Coat hanger (A coat hanger suspends (hangs) your wears (cloths)
Now put a pound = L
in the empty swearbox = the word being boxed is 'Oath' (Swear) emptied leaving C - anger / then put the pound (L) in = C (L) anger
I used 'bloody' in the Def to warrant the swearbox.
Cheers all, Les40
