Hi there doing a local social club crossword got 2 to get so any help appreciated.

I thought cantonal and amine but I am sure I am totally wrong.

Is the 3rd letter of the second clue an L or an I?

I did see capuchin I will try set out how I got letters
5d(8) draw tother ??g?th?r. (I had put together which is where I got the letter T for my franciscan friar clue.
If it is capuchin that would make letters for 5d u?g?the?r
And that would be I?I?e for acid compound.
Hope that makes sense.
