I'm struggling to understand how to locate the word pairs. I've got then two poets and the four words but I'm not sure about how to show "small EYES". Is that literally small letters or lower case letters?
Any help welcomed!

Lower case probably. I am trying to remove letters from the couplet using answers beginning with the same start letter in pairs as in top rh corner

the 47 letters from the couplet (after you have removed the theme word + one other ) tally up with the initial letter sof the clues, sort of in pairs of words.

Found both poets, and the four features, but I can't find the couplet.

You must have the theme word gleaned from the O'd letters. Google that with one of the poets. The couplet required is towards the the end of the poem by the longer-named poet. The first few lines of the poem by the other poet tell you what to do with your 4 features. (No- it's not rude!)

demeter - jumble the letters in the circles and look up in ODQ.

Yeah, I already have the theme word, the poets, and the poem with the four features. I can't find the other poem.

Rickeye - answer to 18 can be found under "J" in Chambers.

Demeter - the other poem uses the themeword in the couplet. As I said, look in the index of ODQ for the themeword - there is only one poem by D*Y*E* containing this word.
