Enjoy!

I like the Grand March, but I don't really "get" opera (apart from Wagner, of course).

Hi emrach - nice to hear from you.

Even with Wagner I am still selective. I like Parsifal, Tristan and the Ring (except Valkyrie, which is tedious), and Meistersinger is (amazingly) quite fun. "Dutchman", though - I agree with you!

What? There's someone else who doesn't like Wagner?
We have tickets for the Vienna Concert-Verein Orchestra at the acoustically perfect (!) Mechanics Hall in Worcester on Sunday, and if the meteorologists are right about the blizzard they're predicting all the Norse gods are going to be on my blacklist.

Aaaaaaaaaah.

Ha Ha RE couldn't tell all !!!! This working life is really interfering with living life, still tired with it all but the ups are still outweighing the bad - just. More importantly how are you and I suppose you watched the rugby, what can I say? Girls are well and I suppose like most of us just seeing through this time of year. Had a good day on Saturday went to Sloans, Hard Rock Cafe and Waxy O'Conners ( you should look up Waxy's an amazing pub the interior is incredible) but as usual ended up in the Tennants people watching. Does it count as a pub crawl if you only have one in each? Glad to see you back on the site. Been trying to decide if I have a favourite Opera too many to choose from and it really does depend on the production. ie Tosca in the 30's is amazing but I am quite a Janacek fan too and of course Madam Butterfly maybe corny but can be absolutely wonderful. By the way never mind the parsing to clueless I am struggling to understand the posts afterwards lol xxx

Hi aristo
It can be a little confusing that you Americans carried names of towns over from Europe so often - it was a good job you provided the link. (Why not "New Worcester"?)

Bad news from Punxsutawney Phil, I believe.
