So I'm not the only one. I've been shut out since my last post too.

Hi aristo
When I use my older (XP) computer, on which I use IE, this site often freezes. However I have no trouble on this computer, using Windows & and Chrome (and, whisper it quietly, "Adblock" for Chrome)

Really sorry Ari to hear you're still struggling. Have you had a word with Ash or Norah? I wonder what would happen if you re-registered? I've never had a moments delay logging on so am surprised to learn Jazzy has had to wait on occasion.

I am using Chrome on Windows XP on laptop, as my iPad is not working today. I think the problem of non-connection to the site is more to do with my computer playing up. I disconnected the whole thing and let it rest awhile before trying to connect again. Off to put my feet up now. Thanks again Jolan. x

can't believe that post from Busby was over a year ago, glad he stuck around.
i use firefox with an add-on called ghostery that tries to block 'trackers'. trackers collect info about your browsing habits and pass/sell it on to advertisers who then modify what adverts you see).
it does seem to speed up (or stop the slowing down) getting onto this forum - just a thought Aristo.

thought you'd love to know I've finally solved #4, (I got #s 1,3 & 5 not long after posting yesterday) and it just goes to show; what is straightforward for some .......
Convinced myself lay (unqualified and especially ending in "y" was a container (box) and couldn't get the idea out of my mind.
Aristo has you down to a "t" with "Old Fox", thanks again mate.
