No. I was wondering too. I checked in this morning to see if he'd posted a treat. Hope he's OK.

Perhaps he's recovering from an unfortunate Super Bowl bet. I wonder if that riverboat gambler ginge lost his shirt. Might they be commiserating together?

I don't bet; in fact I have very few vices.

Being a proper New Englander, I hate New York. :)

Hi aristo, ye of little faith. Although I backed Denver 2 weekends ago as a win/win layoff on an ante post bet on the Patriots, there is no room for sentiment when gambling and I actually had a small interest on the seahawks!.
I do hope imagcq is ok and I hope my gallivanting last week didn't give him ideas!
PS aristo I'm now back as far as March re Harpers' and
I have to concur with 1 of your comments: Using "big mothers" as the definition for "brontosaurs" is quite magnificent.

Oh, that WAS a doozy. I'd forgotten about it.

The game was quite the bloodbath- that safety in the first few seconds! My son commented that anyone who foresaw it was an instant millionaire. Was your crystal ball working that well? I must say I was glued to the screen waiting for the next horror. Since the local lads were out of the picture I was able to be a more detached observer, though my daughter knows one of the Seahawks' star players; they were college classmates. and I admired his playing back then (just a few years ago).

When you've finished with all the Harper's puzzles you'll have to start mining the Atlantic Monthly archives (heaven).
