Hi,

Am struggling to get a start today. Anyone know 5/23d? (3,6,3,3,5) 'Ending of old roles in play - endeavoured with new roles, possibly? That's about right.'

Or, 17a (3,2,4) 'Navy spied at sea in the drink'.

Thanks

I am struggling to get off the ground today aswell, was hoping that one of the long clues would be answered on this thread, please chuck me a few crumbs if you can. The only other clue i have answered is 22. across which I think is ozone, and I think the second half of 3down is score. Help!!

Hi there,

1/4 down is, I think, 'A miss is as good as a mile'.

Let me know if you want more, or if you'd rather give it a go yourself. I'm still stuck on 5/23 down, and have now got (I think) 'our -e-e-s -o- are ended'
and I'm still stuck!

I believe most Shakespearean plays especially the comedies end this way
