I had 3 down wrong having put TOPIC in to start with and then taking it out to fit with my 3 down answer. (Classical novel by man obsessed with sex symbol (9)

I went back to the word play and unravelled a word that I had never heard of and is not in Quicksolve. It is true that the word play is clear but I was fooled by the lack of the word in the Quicksolve and a superficial Google search. Got it in the end.

Always nice to uncover a new word.
