Thanks for sending the snow Aristo but it thawed along the way.
After weeks of heatwave 95-118 F and bone dry this morning its raining and 53 F.
I'm feeling decidedly chilly.

busby: It was 53F here on Monday but plummeted to single digits that night and didn't get above 13 yesterday. We may be treated to the Aurora Borealis tonight! Do you happen to live in the area where Upfield's Death of a Lake takes place?

aristo, from a purely selfish viewpoint will the weather also be an advantage as well as playing at home for the Patriots this weekend? Yes, in response to one of your observations in a recent "Peer Review" (which I saw too late to reply) Sports betting is one of my many vices. I am in the enviable position of being able to lay off if I think it's worthwhile (which I'm not really considering against the Colts) as I have them @ 12/1 for the Conference and 20/1 for the Superbowl!

ginge: I would say there's a home advantage (all those loony screaming fans). It's supposed to be around 50 here on Sunday, and there's only one town between here and Foxborough (where the stadium is), but Indianapolis (where the Colts are coming from) has just had Arctic weather too. Andrew Luck is, I think, a fabulous quarterback, however, and the home team will have a challenge on their hands. Brady's obviously more polished, but Luck's less than two years out of Stanford- very smart, and very young.

Aristo: Death of a Lake was set at Minindee Lakes, part of the Kinchega National Park. We are about 900k's east of there.
