A few clues I need help with:

10ac On a river passing through gully often (9) R???L???Y
(the online clue hint says that "passing through" is an inclusion indicator if that's any help)
12ac Put down recording sample with a piano part missing (6) ?E?O?E
(clue hint says that it is a subtraction clue)
17dn Lender's car abandoned by a person responsible for leader, perhaps (8) ?R???T?R

Thanks

Stig

12a looks as if it should be demote (put down) with demo (recording sample) but I'm not seeing the rest, certainly not a subtraction!

12 demo t(ap)e
Not my idea of a subtraction, which usually refers to a subtraction anagram.

Thanks Ginge.

The terms used in the clue hints are defined on the site and a distinction is made between "subtraction" and "anagram with subtraction", so I'm ok with that.

Thanks again

Happy to help stig and I hope you're enjoying solvin;, it is addictive, extremely satisfying and pleasurable. Sorry if I caused you any confusion but I wouldn't have specifically categorised that type of clue (other than cryptic) but when I think about it, the terminology used makes sense.

@ busby thanks for the link, cheers mate and the booze recommendation on the other thread.
