Just left with one word to complete this little effort,
but cannot find a suitable "entrant". Can anyone help?
It's 9 letters, and the clue is "CONCERTED".
I obviously have every letter which crosses and feel
sure these are correct. I have -I-H-A-E-

If it was conceited then it could be pigheaded?

Hello, AndyC - Funny enough, I've already contemplated
this and I took a closer look at the clue (I don't wear
glasses), but CONCERTED it is! I honestly don't think
that there's a solution to this and the compiler (or
printers) meant to print "CONCEITED", thereby making
"pigheaded" a distinct probability!

Or bigheaded?

Yes. even better, AB, but unfortunately I can't even
use this unless I can prove there's been a printer's
typo.
