Came to this rather late having had to arrange a special delivery (don't ask!) & am now stuck on the last two which, by the way of things, are connected :

46D - Almost splendid mess? This could be with knobs on (7)

55A - Energy needed for the ultimate in country style of music (5)

46 Spindle (which has knobs on). It's an anagram/'mess' of most of the letters in 'splendid'.

55 Indie - music. The 'e' for 'energy' replaces the 'a' in India (the ultimate/letter).
