Shade every occurrence of every letter that appears in the motto. Don't worry about how often the letters appear either in the grid or the motto - that is what put me off for a while. The bottom part of the shaded figure looks big and clumsy to me but it's right. There is no mention that two colours should be used so I haven't bothered with that.
