Some great clues, folks. Why does this always happen to me though?
I must say I often forget how much our pronunciation differs. Over here we say Kant the way the Germans do (Kahnt) and levered with a short e (though cantilevered has a long one); but that’s of course beside the point, and I’m the odd man out anyway (I had no trouble with “can”). As much as I admired dj’s very clever clue I’m giving the edge to ixion on the grounds that the definition is more strictly accurate, in that something that’s cantilevered isn’t partially but fully supported, just in a specific way. Let it be noted that greedy kite also received four votes. I know he’ll appreciate the clip, since he too is a fan of FLlW’s architecture.
By the way, this must be the second anniversary of Peer Review, since we’re on week 104. Merry Christmas to all you kind and brilliant people!
