Good afternoon everybody. Today there will be a history test, I am expecting you all to do well. No peeping!
Miss X

Welcome to the 100th edition of PEER REVEIW

A competition to compose the best cryptic clue, judged by your fellow contestants.

You may enter as many clues as you like and everybody is welcome to have a go.

Please feel free to explain your clue if you think it will help.

Everybody who enters may vote for their favourite clue - please include the post number.

The entry with the most votes wins and its composer sets next week's competition.

Please post your clues by 1pm tomorrow, Friday 22nd November, when voting opens - deadline 22.00 that evening, after which the winner will be announced and the anniversary party will start, with memories of the past 100 peer reviews and maybe a couple of clips .Drinking is optional .

The setter has a deciding vote in the event of a tie and may change the rules if necessary.

It is customary for the setter to award an online prize when declaring the winner.

The answer to be clued this week is (sorry if it's a bit predictable) :

HUNDRED YEARS WAR (7,5.3)

Have fun.

Marty
