Portmanteau (a large travelling case made of stiff leather) suggested earlier looks to fit the bill.

thanks for all the replies - potentially finished off - but just wanted to see if anyone had anything more for 2 of them just because the clues aren't as 'good' as the others if these answers fit

1 - A boatyard worker (9) - best answer so far: ANCHORMAN..............? not 100% on this for 'boatyard' although I obviously get the connection to ships! Wondered about 'barrowman' - is there such a thing? or similar?

2 - One of the '5 a day'? (9) - best answer so far: MANGETOUT..........? but given the 5 a day is in inverted commas and there's a ? at the end - I'm not 100% ON THIS .................

Cheers x

Still potentially after 2 answers just because the clues aren't as 'good' as the others if these answers fit

1 - A boatyard worker (9) - best answer so far: ANCHORMAN..............? not 100% on this for 'boatyard' although I obviously get the connection to ships! Wondered about 'barrowman' - is there such a thing? or similar?

2 - One of the '5 a day'? (9) - best answer so far: MANGETOUT..........? but given the 5 a day is in inverted commas and there's a ? at the end - I'm not 100% ON THIS - or is it cos it means 'eat all' ?

Mangetout looks to fit the bill. Assume it's because it's a vegetable and therefore one of the recommended "five a day"
