Presumably an Asian city, but where?

Anyone still around? Who said this one was easy? - it's just as tough as last week's stinker so far as I'm concerned.

Anyway I've just cracked the top LH corner (not helped by 2d being a word I'd never heard of). One left now: 6d - not otherwise mentioned. Which Strauss do I need and is the answer the title of the book?

For the first 4 letters think of a brand name for jeans and then an anagram of is cut - defn is a book in the bible
