Are you able to post a link for this, this week, jazzy? The last two I have had trouble with Emailing it as an attachment to GK, though it hasn't mattered, as you have done the job.

Good afternoon - fairly easy this week, but like Jazzgirl I'm stuck on 1D - "King leaves poet to wake" I've got *R*I* - could be trail or train, both meaning wake, but I can't see what the clue has to do with either king or poet. Further clues please.x

I don't have an I second letter, devonian.

The "king" is just R.

hi devonian
Wake is the definition, (in which one keeps watch or prayer) The poet is an old Roman one (minus R for King)

Sorry I misled you - I DO have an I second letter (but not an R)

You seem to have got there anyway!

Hi everyone. Managed everything fairly quickly. Like others I was stuck on top left for a while. Realised that 7a does not start with pro, as I thought for support but another three letter word which you "return" which means help and support. Hope this helps.
