I've got two to go and completely stuck:

17 across Lazy (8)
_ L _ T _ _ _ R

18 down Fall down heavily (5)
_ _ U _ P (is it thump?)

Haven't seen the puzzle and as you have said you only have two to do I assume on letter coincides in both answers.

Just a suggestion but "fall down heavily" could be FLUMP and if that puts an F in "lazy" it could make that answer SLOTHFUL if the R at the end is not correct.

If that doesn't work then....apologies.
