I wondered if it might be linked to Ariadne and the labyrinthn ?

Might it be UNITE? It's a Union, and It's UNI(on) ("not on") + TE for the note (do-re-mi etc.)

I thought 2D was HONORIFIC because it has H and C (taps up) with IF and IRON inside. MUM is a title hence honorific
