I know how clever you are w crosswords so I wondered how come you really bother with the non-cryptic one? It isn't much of a challenge-or maybe I should try it too if really desperate!

Firstly, that is a very flattering comment, however I am no cleverer than the other contributors on here and elsewhere.

I never see doing crosswords in terms of 'worth bothering', I love all types.

Saturdays I do ten, ranging from Times concise, Tel quick and GK , Polymath and the Jumbos, often struggle but love the challenge.

Sundays are a bit calmer with eight, ranging from Exp to Mail to Times.

I have broad tastes and like them all.

However show me an AZED or Mephisto and I'm off LOL.
