Only left with 24d and 30a. 24d: "way in which you which you would once be imprisoned in government building" -o---house ... could make a case for courthouse, roundhouse or powerhouse. And, if any of these is correct, the 30a ("protests from country lovers apt somehow to be ignored") would be --o-s - with r, n or e as the first letter. Inclind to powerhouse because "in government" = power, and "the house" is where government takes place. Can anyone help please?
