Goodness I think I may have solved this weeks cryptic. Please can I just check one clue that I'm not so happy with. Security device can change course regularly(7) I have Tintack as the answer does this sound right? and also It lights up sick deer possibly, right away(10) I have Illuminant?

If ILLUMINANT is right (and it might well be) it's terrible! Is it a "sounds like" for ILL RUMINANT (e.g. a deer)?

TIN = CAN
TACK = "change course regularly"
Definition a bit loose, though.

Both look good:
can=tin and to change course = tack. tintack a small nail.

sick = ill deer = is a ruminant less (r) for right.
ill+uminant ....lights up.
